Health Program

  1. Nutritional Week for Vulnerable Mothers and Children
Targeting pregnant and lactating mothers and malnourished children in slum areas of Delhi, this project provides nutrient-rich food supplements and organizes awareness campaigns on maternal and child nutrition. Community kitchens and health workshops are held to promote knowledge-sharing and encourage sustainable dietary practices. Over 1,250 women and children have benefited, ensuring improved nutritional intake and access to essential healthcare services.

  2. ASHA Worker Support Program
To enhance healthcare delivery in rural areas, SDF distributed electric scooters equipped with medical kits to 907 ASHA workers in Odisha. The project improves their mobility, enabling them to cover unserved regions efficiently, especially during emergencies. Raincoats and other essentials were also provided, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services in all seasons.

  3. Community Health Camps
SDF regularly organizes health camps in underserved rural areas, offering free medical check-ups, vaccinations, and distribution of medicines. These camps focus on primary healthcare and early detection of chronic illnesses, benefiting thousands of individuals who otherwise lack access to medical facilities.

  4. Maternal Health and Hygiene Awareness
This initiative educates women about prenatal and postnatal care, focusing on improving maternal health outcomes. Through workshops and distribution of hygiene kits, the program addresses critical gaps in healthcare access for women in rural areas, reducing maternal mortality rates.

  5. School Health and Hygiene Program
Targeting schoolchildren in rural and underserved areas, this program promotes health and hygiene practices through awareness sessions and the distribution of hygiene kits. The initiative also includes health screenings to identify and address issues like malnutrition and poor vision at an early stage.

  6. Mobile Health Units (MHU)
In collaboration with CSR partners, SDF deploys mobile health units to remote villages, providing on-the-spot medical consultations, diagnostics, and treatment. The MHUs bridge healthcare access gaps for populations residing in hard-to-reach areas.

  7. Health Advocacy for Gender-Based Violence Survivors
This project integrates healthcare with social advocacy by providing medical, psychological, and legal support to survivors of gender-based violence. SDF collaborates with local healthcare providers and community leaders to establish safe spaces and ensure survivors receive holistic care.

  8. Malnutrition Eradication Program for Children
SDF conducts focused interventions to combat child malnutrition by providing nutritional supplements, organizing health awareness drives, and collaborating with schools to include balanced meals in their midday programs.

  9. Mental Health Awareness and Support
Recognizing the growing need for mental health support, SDF runs campaigns and workshops focusing on stress management, substance abuse prevention, and emotional well-being, particularly targeting youth and women in rural and semi-urban areas.

  10. Health Infrastructure Development in Rural Clinics
SDF works with CSR partners to improve infrastructure in rural clinics and primary healthcare centers. Projects include providing modern medical equipment, solar energy solutions for uninterrupted power supply, and water filtration systems to ensure clean drinking water.
